Welcome to the Gloucestershire Children's Social Care Procedures Manual

Welcome to the latest update of the procedures manual for Gloucestershire Children Services.

The Resource Library contains many useful practice guides and other helpful information. Remember that when you search within the manual you will also search the Resource Library at the same time.

Please note that when you use the search function to search for documents in the Resource Library, the search will take you to the relevant section of the Library, you will then need to identify the document you want in that section.

The Gloucestershire Safeguarding Child Protection Procedures can be accessed from the menu at the top of the home page and should be read alongside this manual as they will contain the guidance on a range of topics including Child Sexual Exploitation, Missing Children and FGM.

The Gloucestershire Safeguarding Child Protection Procedures are part of the South West Child Protection Procedures (SWCPP). Additional Guidance from Gloucestershire SCB can also be found on the Gloucestershire Safeguarding Children Board Website.

Please see 'Using this Manual' for details about the way this manual works. For further details, please contact the Principal Social Worker - Practice Improvement Children & Young People's Service.
